Brittany Meeks
Student Therapist - MACP (IN PROGRESS) Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)
Hi, I’m Brittany! I am a student therapist and Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) at Rebound Total Health. After years of living abroad in Latin America and Asia, I decided to return to school to learn more about working in healthcare and specifically mental health. I have lived experiences moving to a new country, facing unanticipated challenges, and adapting to new cultures and languages. I am also a retired competitive gymnast, which has helped me understand the many hurdles that athletes and others face. I am happy to offer services to clients in both English and Spanish. I am excited to see the growth people experience during sessions, don’t hesitate to take that first step toward your wellness journey
I'll be your teammate as we work towards becoming the best version of you.

Working with me
The therapeutic relationship is said to be one of the most important factors in the outcome of therapy, so I take an approach to build a solid foundation to begin healing. I aim to provide a safe and secure environment to begin working on personal growth. At the end of sessions, I hope for clients to feel lighter than when they came in.
Worth mentioning
As clients decide who they want to work with for counselling, there’s lots to take into consideration! Here are some additional perks you should know of!
Some approaches and interventions do not work for everyone. I am able to quickly adjust the session to suit your needs in the moment.
I uphold the highest standards of confidentiality so that my clients can feel safe to share throughout their therapeutic journey.
I aim to make each session as comfortable as possible with my easygoing nature.
What does a session with me look like?
Each client is unique and prefers their sessions to go a certain way. Regardless, I try to ensure that each session is geared towards attaining your goals and making you feel your best. I often use humour to make clients feel comfortable and relaxed before getting into the nitty gritty realities of life.

I am happy to be your sound board and listen to everything that you need to get off your chest or I can be your personal cheerleader, whatever you need. Expect to leave each session with something, whether it is a task to complete before our next meeting or a new tool to add to your personal well-being toolbox.
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
Develop practical techniques to change behavioural patterns and learn to identify, question, and adjust your thoughts, attitudes, and beliefs as they relate to your struggles.
Solution-Focused
A goal-directed, collaborative approach aimed at addressing your current problems and providing adequate solutions based on your lifestyle. Together, we will develop solutions instead of focusing primarily on problems.
Strength-Based
Discover and develop your strengths and unique talents. This approach is not problem-focused but instead involves positivity and empowerment to discover your strengths and apply them to your life.
Client-Centred
This humanistic approach centers around the client’s inherent capacity for growth and self-healing. The therapist provides a supportive, empathetic, and non-directive environment, allowing clients to explore their feelings and thoughts openly, ultimately leading to self-discovery and personal growth.
