Hey! My name is Chloe and I am a recent graduate from McMaster University. My studies were focused on mental health and addiction, and I am interested in pursuing a career in that field, either as a psychotherapist, or as a social worker. I am volunteering here at rebound to gain experience into what it is like to work in the field of mental health, and excited to be a part of the team! Looking forward to getting to know everyone, and helping out wherever I can.

When meeting with clients I typically like to know what has brought them to Rebound, and what they are looking for in terms of therapy. At the end of talking with clients I want them to feel welcomed, and excited for their journey ahead at Rebound!
What happens in a consultation?!
We’ll start by determining what you’d like to work on in therapy and what’s brought you here! We just need a general idea of the topics for exploration and areas you’d like to focus on in therapy.
We’ll chat a bit about your day-to-day life, what you do and who you are. Finding the right therapist includes finding the right personality fit, so don’t be scared to let your personality shine!
Whether you’ve been to therapy before or this is your first time, if you have any preferences about what type of therapist you want or what you might be specifically looking for, we’ll take note. No idea what you want or need? Don’t worry! No preferences required 🙂
We’ll spend some time discussing the practical aspects of therapy such as your availability, booking information and of course financial aspects of therapy such as prices, payments & benefits coverage.
Last but certainly not least, the consultation offers an opportunity for you to ask us any questions you may have about virtual/telephone therapy at Rebound, the process of getting started or anything you’re uncertain of!
