Emma Krisko
Student Therapist - MACP (IN PROGRESS) Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)
Hi there! My name’s Emma and I’m a student therapist and Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) at Rebound Total Health. I have always loved meeting new people and hearing their stories, but the realization of psychotherapy as a career wasn’t clear to me until I was diagnosed with ADHD in my early twenties which allowed me to understand and accept myself better than ever before. Since then, I have been dedicated to helping others understand themselves and realize their own true potential. I have experience working with many individuals from diverse backgrounds and ages, through which I have learned that anybody can benefit from a non-judgemental, sympathetic listening ear.
My mission is to empower individuals to navigate life’s challenges with grace and resilience, fostering personal growth and well-being.

Working with me
My goal in becoming a therapist is to help my clients overcome life’s many challenges by gaining a better understanding of the whole picture and finding coping mechanisms that work best for them. In working with clients, I aim to provide a safe and comfortable space for individuals to explore potentially uncomfortable thoughts and emotions that may otherwise go unrecognised. It is my hope that clients leave each session feeling a little more enlightened, relieved, and less isolated than when they began.
Worth mentioning
As clients decide who they want to work with for counselling, there’s lots to take into consideration! Here are some additional perks you should know of!
I provide a flexible, person-centred approach you therapy delivered on your schedule
An upbeat but relaxed atmosphere where you feel compelled to share
Professional but personable approach to conversation
What does a session with me look like?
I believe every client needs something different from therapy, be it a sympathetic ear, constructive feedback, or tangible ways to cope with their issues. I like to spend the first couple of sessions gaining an understanding of who you are and how best to support you. In this, you can expect a relaxing and inviting atmosphere wherein I aim to make it feel like you’re talking to an old friend. From there, we can discuss different therapeutic techniques to find which approach resonates with you best.

My approach
My approach to therapy is to create a welcoming environment where you feel comfortable exploring topics you may have trouble navigating on your own. By offering a sympathetic ear and asking meaningful questions, I hope to provide the space for you to process complex thoughts and emotions that may be subconsciously contributing to stress and harm in your life. From a place of greater understanding, together we can build a plan at your own pace wherein you learn tangible skills and ways to cope with the challenges unique to your life.
