Kasey Silva
Student Therapist - MACP (IN PROGRESS) Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)
Hello, I’m Kasey, a student and Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) at Rebound Total Health. I deeply value the importance of mental health, understanding firsthand the challenges life can bring and how easy it is to feel disconnected from ourselves. With a focus on the powerful connection between our mind and body, I draw on my own experiences with anxiety, life transitions, and family dynamics to support clients with empathy and understanding.
My goal is to help you find strength and clarity on your journey to well-being and bouncing back!
We can connect virtually or in person
Whether you’re near or far, I can help you bounce back. We can meet in-person in a calming, quiet environment in our newly renovated office space in Dundas, Ontario. Working with me
My goal in working with clients is to understand how life impacts them biologically, psychologically, and socially. By exploring these dynamics, I can better support clients in setting meaningful goals and overcoming obstacles. My hope is that each session leaves clients with a greater understanding of themselves, a sense of relief, enlightenment, and fostering resiliency.
Worth mentioning
As clients decide who they want to work with for counselling, there’s lots to take into consideration! Here are some additional perks you should know of!
I have faced my own challenges throughout childhood, adolescence, and early adulthood, including anxiety, life transitions, and family conflict. These experiences allow me to empathize deeply with clients who have faced similar struggles.
I am genuinely passionate about supporting others through life’s difficulties, understanding the importance of empathetic and compassionate support. My goal is to offer the support I wish I’d had, helping clients achieve their goals and bounce back!
Being genuine in sessions is essential to me, just as it is for clients. I bring my true self into our counselling journey together, free from judgement. This means sharing a laugh or a personal insight, creating a space where we can navigate life’s challenges as fellow human beings.
What does a session with me look like?
The atmosphere in my sessions is comfortable, inviting, and adaptable to your unique needs. As both a psychotherapist and a fellow human, I recognize that everyone’s journey is different, requiring flexibility and understanding. I aim to create a space where you feel as though you’re speaking with a trusted friend. Acknowledging the connection between mind and body, I incorporate mindfulness exercises to provide holistic support.

My approach
My approach is ensuring that therapy should be a place where you feel secure, validated, and comfortable. Working with me means incorporating mindfulness-based practices, a focus on YOU, and bouncing back to overcome your challenges and achieve your goals! Bouncing back means supporting you in a comfortable and safe environment that sets you up for success in reaching your goals. Together, we find unique approaches tailored to your needs, using mindfulness exercises that honour both body and mind, with genuine, supportive guidance, are all part of our sessions!
Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT)
Mindfulness encourages focusing on the present moment with openness and without judgment. This approach helps you accept and tolerate difficult emotions, whether they come from within or from others around you
Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT)
This approach is goal-oriented and collaborative, focusing on finding solutions that fit your current life. Rather than dwelling on problems, we’ll work together to create practical steps that move you toward your goals.
Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT)
CBT focuses on the present, helping you recognize and reshape negative thoughts and beliefs. By building more positive thoughts, it empowers you to make meaningful changes in your life and move toward greater happiness.
Person-Centrered Therapy (PCT)
This humanistic approach emphasizes your natural capacity for growth and healing. In a non-directive, empathetic, and supportive space, you are free to explore your feelings and thoughts, leading to deeper self-awareness and personal growth.
