Hi! I’m Rupinder!

I am a Registered Psychotherapist and Independent Contractor at Rebound Total Health. I always had a feeling I would be in a profession where I would be of service to others. However, it took me some of my own personal experiences of healing and partaking in my Undergraduate studies in Psychology, to recognize my passion for counselling. I enjoy building a trusting and supportive therapeutic alliances with my clients, where there is meaning building for clients. It would be my honour and privilege to support clients in their healing journeys.   

Life can bring unpredictable and/or challenging moments in our lives, that may leave us feeling stagnant or unsure of how to move forward. When I work with clients, my goal is to guide them towards transformative change and personal growth. I would like to offer clients with a safe, empathetic, and authentic space to explore their concerns. My hope is clients leave feeling hopeful and empowered.

  2. Holistic: It is important to take care of the mind, body, and soul. Hence, I provide holistic and flexible approaches in supporting clients with their overall well-being

  3. Accessible Booking: The online booking system allows clients to schedule appointments for days and times that work for them. Don’t care to book yourself? Don’t worry - clients can book with me directly following your session, or email to book!

What does a session with me look like?

My focus is to collaboratively work with clients on their goals and catering to their needs. I use a grounded and conversational approach in sessions, to ensure clients feel heard and understood. I work with clients to determine the flow of the session, whether that be a relaxed or structured approach.

My Approach

My style and approach in therapy is very free and flowy. Using a client-centered approach, I meet clients in the middle to determine which modality would be most suitable. 

Eclectic

Using multiple modalities and techniques to meet the individual client’s needs.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

Challenge negative thought patterns, identify problematic thoughts, emotions and behaviours that are further contributing to stress, and work to develop coping skills to address them.

EMDR

A trauma-focused approach in which the client focuses on a trauma memory, while simultaneously experiencing bilateral stimulation (eye movements). This allows for reduction in the emotion and distress associated with the trauma memories.

Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT)

Develop strategies to tolerate distress, promote mindfulness, improve interpersonal relationship, and foster healthy emotions.
