Hi I’m Megan! I am a student therapist and Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) at Rebound Total Health. I have always had a passion for helping people and have found myself on a career path that reflects that. I have worked in many different areas working with children, youth and adults and noticed the positive impact that empathy and non-judgmental listening has when working with all ages. My goal is to help you along your journey to healing and understand that no two experiences are the same. Using a compassionate, empathetic, and understanding approach I look forward to help guide you through your journey!

What does a session with me look like?

A session with me will be tailored to your individual needs and goals, the most important part of building a positive therapeutic relationship. Together we will work at building rapport by getting to know you through discussion on your background, current challenges, and goals for therapy. I am here to help in ways that work best for you and your needs through exploration, reflection, skill building and coping strategies. Throughout the sessions it is my hope to create a positive and empowering therapeutic experience to ensure that we are working together in your best interest!

My Approach

I like to use a client-centered approach with my clients. I believe that each client is the expert of their own life I am simply here to help in facilitating your own exploration, growth and healing. I like to use a collaborative and empowering approach that respects your autonomy an inherent capacity for self-understanding and change. I will bring empathy and genuineness to each session to foster trust and rapport. When working with me we will work collaboratively to decipher what tools and strategies will work best for you to fulfil your goals and emotional needs!

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

Develop practical techniques to change behavioural patterns and learn to identify, question and adjust your thoughts, attitudes and beliefs as they relate to your struggles.

Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT):

An approach that fosters acceptance, instead of avoidance and pathology. Learn to develop more psychological flexibility and self-acceptance.

Trauma-Informed Therapy:

Together, we will examine your past experiences in a safe way. With a strength-based approach. you may learn about the impacts of trauma while rebuilding a sense of control in your life.

Solution-Focused

 A goal-directed, collaborative approach aimed at addressing your current problems and providing adequate solutions based on your lifestyle. Together, we will develop solutions instead of focusing primarily on problems.

Couples’ 50-Minute Session $120+hst
