Aishat Adekunte
Student Therapist - MACP (IN PROGRESS)
I’m Aishat Adekunte! Growing up, I often felt like life expected me to have it all together, even when things felt heavy or confusing. Over time—through study, community work, and my own walk with Christ—I’ve learned that true healing comes not from carrying everything alone, but from honesty, support, and hope. My background in Psychology, Neuroscience, and Behaviour has helped me put language to the emotional knots many of us carry but struggle to name. Working with youth, families, and faith-based communities has shown me how powerful compassion, faith, and practical tools can be when we’re learning to grow, rebuild, and breathe again. I strive to create a space where you can slow down, explore what you’re carrying, and uncover the strengths God has already placed within you. You don’t have to figure everything out alone—I’m here to walk with you as you take your next steps.
My goal is to help you find strength and clarity on your journey to well-being and bouncing back!
We can connect virtually or in person
Whether you’re near or far, I can help you bounce back. We can meet in-person in a calming, quiet environment in our newly renovated office space in Dundas, Ontario. We can also meet conveniently online or via telephone, giving you more flexibility to choose a time and place that works for you and your busy schedule.

Worth mentioning
As clients decide who they want to work with for counselling, there’s lots to take into consideration! Here are some additional perks you should know of!
I guide clients to understand their own body, mind, and spirit, so they can truly grasp the “why” behind each tool and apply it with self-awareness and confidence.
I’m approachable and down-to-earth, fostering a space where clients feel heard, safe, and free to be themselves.
I support growth by connecting physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual aspects of life, helping change feel meaningful and lasting.
What does a session with me look like?
You can expect a non-judgmental, collaborative space where your comfort and goals guide each session. Together, we’ll explore life’s challenges with empathy, uncover new perspectives, and work on practical strategies for change. If desired, we can also invite God into our work together through prayer or faith-based reflection. My goal is to ensure you leave each session feeling heard, supported, and equipped to move forward with clarity and confidence.
