Noor Bhandal
Student Therapist - MACP (IN PROGRESS)
Hello! I’m Noor Bhandal (she/her), a to-be Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) at Rebound Total Health and a student therapist completing my Master’s in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University! From a young age, I knew that I wanted to help others, whether through various volunteering experiences, tutoring, or even supporting friends and family. Over the years, my experience as a family member to someone who struggled with anxiety and my own experiences with stress and perfectionism through my Bachelor’s, combined with my absolute fascination with any psychology course I encountered, led me to a career in counselling and therapy. The focus on and ability to support others using a direct, genuine connection aligned exactly with my skills and aim.
My goal is to help you find strength and clarity on your journey to well-being and bouncing back!
We can connect virtually or in person
Whether you’re near or far, I can help you bounce back. We can meet in-person in a calming, quiet environment in our newly renovated office space in Dundas, Ontario. We can also meet conveniently online or via telephone, giving you more flexibility to choose a time and place that works for you and your busy schedule.

Working with Noor Bhandal
My goal is to help you feel seen and heard, to understand you, and work with you, so that you can leave each session feeling supported, lighter, and more hopeful.
Worth mentioning
As clients decide who they want to work with for counselling, there’s lots to take into consideration! Here are some additional perks you should know of!
I am a great listener, and I am curious, not just about your problem, but about you as a whole person.
It can be hard to pour out your feelings, insecurities, or challenges to someone you barely know, and it gets harder when you think the person in front of you will judge you. I will always welcome you – all of you – into our sessions, so you can be yourself without that worry.
My first goal is to help YOU feel comfortable, and I work hard to build a relationship that does just that. From how you wish to be addressed to the way I’m there for you during the big moments of vulnerability, I will do whatever I can to help you feel safe and supported, so that you can focus on your healing.
What does a session with me look like?
My sessions will be a space where you, your needs, your emotions, your issues, and your solutions come first. What exactly takes place in each session depends on each client and where they are in their process of healing. Generally, we will start with a check-in to see how you’re feeling, then work toward the goals that we typically set in our initial session, with interventions tailored to your specific needs. This can manifest as discussions where I ask questions or activities where we work together to practice coping strategies. These sessions will be organized but flexible spaces where you can notice patterns, talk through feelings, and take steps toward change.

My Approach
Our sessions will always begin with a brief discussion about how you’re feeling or how your week has been, as well as an identification of concerns or goals to discuss in the session. I continually focus on creating a comfortable space where you feel like you can explore and reflect on your thoughts, beliefs, and feelings while figuring out where they come from. As we navigate these discussions, I tailor my approaches, knowledge, and techniques to your unique experience, context, and environment. I strongly believe that you are the expert on your situation, and your problems/challenges aren’t a sign of weakness. My approach focuses on building a relationship with you, creating a safe space that holds your emotions, and collaborating with you to find a solution that seems right for you.
Cognitive-behavioural therapy
CBT helps individuals identify how their thoughts, feelings, and behaviours affect each other, helping to reshape unhelpful thoughts and elicit changes in their feelings and behaviours. CBT provides structure in sessions and provides individuals opportunities to implement the “theories” that they learn through discussions by experimentation and practice.
Solution-focused brief therapy
SFBT believes in reframing problems and finding small, achievable ways to build a solution. It also looks at and highlights your strengths.
Strength-based Therapy
This approach believes in focusing on clients’ strengths, resources, and skills, acknowledging your resilience and capability to work through your challenges.
Client-centered Therapy
This approach honours and respects your potential and aims to provide support as you explore and discover your own solutions and growth in a compassionate, authentic and non-judgmental environment.
